People are unique.
Each one of us has differing needs, goals and capabilities and I take pride in getting to know my clients in-depth before developing bespoke plans that work for them.
I love helping clients to achieve the things they weren’t certain they could - be that walking up the stairs pain-free or climbing a mountain.
I approach the body holistically, working to undo the damage of our increasingly sedentary lifestyles through training, nutrition and hands-on deep tissue work.

Services offered in person in London or online worldwide. It’s never too late in life to start training - as long as the time is now.
No matter your starting level, it’s always a good time to start the change now!
ABOUT ME
I am an experienced Personal Trainer with Specialist Level 4 Qualifications in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation and Prevention. I have been strength training, rock climbing, boxing and snow/skateboarding for over 15 years. I live by and love what I do.

Overcoming several severe injuries was the catalyst to me becoming a personal trainer, as I experienced first-hand the incredible capacity of the body to heal when you give it what it needs. I personally know how daunting the recovery process can feel, both physically and mentally and what it takes to get through to the other side.

My main area of expertise is Functional Movement Screening to determine areas of weakness and imbalance and Corrective Exercise Planning to administer a way forward which will reduce chance of injury and improve performance in the gym or the sports/activities you love.

I can help you reach your goals, no matter what the challenge; muscle building, fat loss, strength and conditioning, nutrition, balance training, boxing/self defence, learning the big compound lifts and cardiac rehabilitation.

Whatever your mission, together we can make it happen.

No matter your starting level, it’s always a good time to start the change now!

Philosophy
So, what does all of this mean?

Embracing life and saying no to limits!

There’s nothing I love more than a challenge and I really respect people who share that state-of-mind. Most of my clients are aiming for something that means a lot to them and will require a lot of hard work from us both.

I enjoy coming up with creative solutions when programming bespoke plans for clients to give them what their body needs in the right sequence to help them reach their goals, all while addressing any weak points, imbalances and differing skill levels.

Training shouldn’t be a chore, so I like to keep my sessions positive, upbeat and engaging. I believe you get what you give, so the more energy I give my clients – the more they’ll give back during our sessions and the more enhanced their training and results will be.

I take a holistic approach to the body and have seen the curative benefits of specialised exercise and quality nutrition. Exercise is a powerful tool when you know how to use it properly and just like a hammer, you can fix something with it or repeatedly hit yourself with it and eventually break something - ouch!

"Having been an un-finisher most of my life, I didn’t hold much hope for personal training. A year later I still train with Al, my injuries are healed, I am pain free and I have lost 35 pounds.

I am elated to have competed in an outdoor swimming competition in September having previously not been able to swim more than a few lengths and I took the icy Pyg track up to the the top of Mount Snowdon in December - I couldn’t climb 4 stairs without pain just 10 months before.
I could never thank Al enough for everything he has done for me. It isn’t just the fact that I have more energy, feel better in my clothes and am no longer a gym novice. I feel like a different person, a better person and Al has shown me that nothing stands in the way of what you truly want."

"In my role as a football referee, I run over 10km a game and therefore have to do a lot of cardio training on grass or the athletics track. Alistair helped to incorporate that necessary training with a lot of strength and conditioning work in the gym to help my personal goals of improving my fitness and physique.
Alistair has helped me improve my strength for the compound lifts and helped to reduce my body fat from 15.3% down to 11.7% giving me a much more lean, athletic physique. This has been great for both on the field performance and personal satisfaction.
Overall, Alistair is a PT who takes pride not only in his work, but also the success his clients achieve both in and out of the gym. The only down side, is that he’s a Man Utd fan!"

"I initially spoke with Al as I needed some strength and conditioning to allow me to get back on the bike and fulfil my goals. As an elite cyclist through my University days, I succumbed to many injuries, some of which still plague me today. Alistair has done miraculous work in helping my strength training, my nutrition, and alleviating various joint pains/niggles.
Al has a unique capacity to engage clients on both a personal, professional and get it done capacity, which results in you working harder, more often, and genuinely owning your own training/body.
Al has been a fantastic support, be it through sessions, discussing diet plans and breathing techniques, it is, and will remain, the highlight of my week."
